In formal correspondence we open with estimado/a.

- Estimados señores: (si no sabemos los nombres)
FINALIZAR UNA CARTA CON UNA DESPEDIDA EN CORRESPONDENCIA FORMAL E INFORMAL
To end informal correspondence we usually “remember ourselves” to friends or family.
- Dale recuerdos a tu marido (de mi parte).
- Recuerdos a Belén.
Then we sign off with a kiss or hug.
- Un beso muy grande.
- Un beso enorme. = Un besazo. = Un besote.
- Muchos besos.
- Un fuerte abrazo.
If we’re writing to someone we don’t know well or at all, then we use:
- Un saludo.
- Un cordial saludo.
And even more formal.
- Atentamente.
